Projects Research project "Business Model Innovation Navigator" sponsored by CTI Start: Summer 2011 Duration: 2 years The CTI-sponsored research project "Business Model Innovation Navigator" aims to develop a construction methodology for the systematic development and implementation of business model innovations. In collaboration with our research partners Bühler, Swisscom, SAP, Hilti, Tognum, Landis&Gyr, Holcim, Siemens, and BGW, we develop various business models and establish a general-applicable methodology for business model innovation. Based on our collaboration as well as on an international benchmark study on the topic, we develop a navigator for business model innovation that outlines essential process steps, tools, and checklists for the successful innovation of business models. Project participants can log in to our collaboration space here. Bilateral research project "Pro Guide Business Innovation" Start: May 2010 Duration: 1.5 years In collaboration with BASF perspectives, this bilateral research project aims to develop a Pro Guide for the systematic identification and development of business innovations (i.a. service innovations, business model innovations). The project is build upon two pillars: In a first phase, the Pro Guide is conceptualized based on a compilation of BASF's existing innovation practices as well as an integration of new methods and approaches. In a second phase, the Pro Guide is tested and implemented within several pilot projects at BASF's business units. In targeting change agents, experienced innovation facilitators, and other innovation-related management functions, the Pro Guide aims to foster a group-wide use and diffusion of leading-edge innovation practices within BASF. Bilateral research project "Business model innovation at Sennheiser" Start: April 2010 Duration: 1 year (finalized) Within a 12-months project, we were involved in the development of groundbreaking business model innovation concepts for the German audio specialist Sennheiser. The concepts were developed on the basis of a structured approach relying on a cross-industrial identification and adoption of successful business model patterns.
