We are the leading research institution in the field of Operational Excellence (OPEX) in the pharmaceutical industry and conducting research as well as industry projects since 2004. Today, our benchmarking database consists of more than 370 manufacturing sites from over 140 different pharmaceutical companies, thus representing the largest independent OPEX benchmarking database in the pharmaceutical industry – worldwide. Our activities also include OPEX assessments on site and network level, identification of site complexity, OPEX workshops and training as well as process mapping and analyses of as-is processes and derivation of improvement potential.
The OPEX & Quality Metrics Conference will be organized as half-day meeting with presentations of Prof. Dr. Thomas Friedli (editor of three OPEX books and regular speaker at big pharma events) and Pharmaceutical Regulatory Science Team (PRST) at TU Dublin about current global challenges faced by the pharmaceutical industry. Furthermore, research findings in the field of Quality Metrics basend on the on-going FDA collaboration will be presented. In order to also have great discussions with and between the participating companies we will share a collection of cases we were dealing with over the past years and also jointly conduct and discuss a case study in detail. A complimentary network event in the evening chaired by ISPE Ireland YP containing of additional input presentations and a panel discussion will allow to continue exchanging with industry colleagues and academics.
