Benchmarking: Artificial Intelligence in Operations
The final conference on the 1st of March in Aachen was the last get-together in our Consortium Benchmarking Artificial Intelligence in Operations.
There, Prof. Dr. Boos and Prof. Dr. Trimpe from the RWTH Aaachen gave insights from research with their keynote speeches about the Internet of Sustainable Production and best practices in "Machine Learning for Learning Machines". The five visits at Robert Bosch GmbH, Bosch Rexroth AG, Schaeffler Tech AG & Co. KG, voesalpine AG, and Voith Turbo GmbH & Co. KG were summarized and discussed. At those visits, we have gathered a deeper understanding of their  approach to implement AI-based applications into operationes and learned in their respective areas of excellence.
Afterwards at the final conference, the participants derived consequences for their own companies in a workshop-based session.

We would like to express our gratitude to all companies involved –the consortium partners, successful practices, and participants in our study – for their willingness to share insights, best practices, and discuss challenges.
