During the last months we had the opportunity to work together with an aircraft component manufacturer. The aim was to strengthen the cooperation between 3 plants from different countries and to benefit from existing synergies.
Initially, the integration potential was identified from an operational perspective. For this purpose, 4 different areas were considered. The company decided to start by focusing on purchasing, as this was where the highest integration potential was identified. In the course of 6 workshops, an exchange structure and a new cross-location organizational structure were developed. This enables a leaner structure, better exchange of knowledge and higher purchasing power. In a nutshell: More efficiency.
The strategic boundaries created serve as a basis to identify and unlock further synergies in other areas as well. The vision is to establish a global operations network.
