Global Production Academy 2025: Site Visit at HOMAG

Great start to this year’s Global Production Academy (GPA)!

Last week, we officially kicked off the GPA 2025 together with our partners from the wbk Institute of Production Science at KIT. We’re excited to once again be part of this industry-academic exchange that brings together leading minds in manufacturing.
Our first site visit took us to HOMAG in Schopfloch – an inspiring location to begin this year’s journey. The focus of the day was on make-or-buy decisions, highlighted by a comprehensive plant tour, insightful company presentations, and a strong mix of academic and industry keynotes. A big thank you to the HOMAG team for enabling open, hands-on discussions and sharing best practices with the consortium.
We’re already looking forward to our next session at FACC AG in July and to continuing this year’s deep dives into global production excellence.
