Open Position: Professorship in Technology and Innovation Management

The University of St. Gallen’s School of Management is seeking a new faculty member to join the Institute of Technology Management (ITEM-HSG) and the Global Center for Entrepreneurship and Innovation. The position is offered as an Associate Professorship or Assistant Professorship with Tenure Track (Open Rank).

Candidates are required to have proven expertise in domains including Global R&D, Innovation Strategy, Digital Innovation, Open Innovation, AI-driven Innovation, or Technology Strategy. The ideal candidate at the Associate level possesses an internationally recognized track record of publications in top journals (e.g., FT50), ties with industry, a pipeline of promising research, and excellent teaching skills at all levels. The appointed candidate is also expected to attract competitive external research funding (such as SNF, Innosuisse, or ERC) and foster interdisciplinary collaboration across technology-oriented disciplines.
