We kicked off our Innosuisse-funded Research Project: Ecosystem-Based Steering of Global Production Networks

On the 22nd of March 2023 we, together with our partners, kicked off our next Innosuisse-funded project Ecosystem-Based Steering of Global Production Networks. By that, we continue our efforts of our successfully completed Innosuisse-project Intelligence-based manufacturing networks.

The project is concerned with the highly topical question of how global production networks can manage external risk. For that we will analyze which risk factors are present in an industry company’s ecosystem and how they affect the network’s operation.

At our kickoff after a welcome by Prof. Dr. Thomas Friedli (ITEM-HSG) and Prof. Dr. Klaus Möller (ACA-HSG), all project partners got to know each other, we clarified expectations for the projects and assessed current challenges related to the global production networks. Finally, we started into the first practice-oriented work-package.

On our journey, we are joined by our academic partner, the Institute for Accounting, Controlling and Auditing at HSG, our three industrial research partners, Endress+Hauser, Phoenix Contact, and Weidmann, and our implementation partner IT Logix.
