Last week, the Global Production Academy team had the opportunity to visit IMS Gear for the third site visit of the Global Production Academy 2024, organized in collaboration with Institute of Production Science.
Our discussions focused on a key topic for international manufacturing: knowledge transfer within global production networks. We explored both the academic foundations and real-world examples of how to effectively share expertise across different sites, ensuring a smooth and efficient transfer of knowledge at all levels of production.
The plant tour at IMS Gear was impressive, showcasing their state-of-the-art manufacturing processes and unwavering commitment to excellence.

We extend our sincere thanks to IMS Gear for their exceptional hospitality and for making the visit both insightful and productive.
We look forward to continuing this collaboration in November at Palfinger in Austria.
