ITEM-PM goes EurOMA

This year’s EurOMA (European Operations Management Association) Conference took place from the 29th of June till the 4th of July in Barcelona. The conference theme was transforming people and processes for a better world. Four PhDs and one Post-Doc submitted a total of four conference papers. Two papers were collaborative works with the POM Institute of the ETH Zurich.

Our contributions to the conference are:

  • Albers, von Dzengelevski, Specht and Friedli (2024): The moderating effect of digitalization on manufacturing competitiveness in high-cost countries),
  • Klinkner,  Grothkopp and Friedli (2024): Rolling-out company-specific production systems in multinational corporations – a multilateral network perspective
  • Rossini, Grothkopp, Netland and Friedli (2024): Evolution of Corporate Improvement Programs: A Punctuated Equilibrium Theory Perspective
  • Schalm, Saretz and Friedli (2024): Network Improvement Initiatives: How to Deploy a Network Strategy

The conference, held this year at the Esade Business School campus in Barcelona, provided the opportunity to experience the latest research and developments in Operations Management, informally exchange and network with other researchers in the field, and present and receive feedback on one’s own research.

We are looking forward to improving our research, journal publications, and next year’s conference.
